当財団は以下のような活動を行っています。
- 定期セミナー、特別セミナー、ワークショップ講習会等の実施
- 個別的、専門的な研修、実習、講義、コンサルの実施
- 国、地方自治体、国公立研究機関、大学、学会、NPO、民間企業等との情報交換・共有・発信
- 大気汚染物質や地球温暖化物質動態に関する発生源の把握、計測・観測、モニタリング、モデリング等の調査・研究の実施
- これらの分野に関する研究成果や技術の評価、蓄積、活用を図る活動を展開
- 請負、委託調査・分析・解析等の実施
- 上記事業に係る製品等の開発及び販売
IIAEの取り組み
SDGs（持続可能な開発目標とは）
2015年9月に国連本部で開催された第70回国連総会において「持続可能な開発のための2030アジェンダ」が採択されました。このアジェンダには2016年から2030年までの間に、世界で達成すべき17の目標と169のターゲットが盛り込まれており、持続可能な開発目標(SDGs：Sustainable Development GOALS)と呼ばれています。 SDGsとは「誰一人取り残さない」という包摂的な世界の実現を目指す理念の下、持続可能な開発のためのさまざまな課題解決に向けた世界共通の目標です。2030年までのSDGs達成には、途上国のみならず先進国の政府、民間企業、NGO、自治体、個人など一人ひとりが行動を変え、マルチステークホルダーで取り組みを積極的に進めることが求められています。
IIAEのSDGsに関する取り組み
当財団は、設立理念にもある、住みやすい『蒼き星・地球』として維持するために、安心・安全で快適な社会の持続的発展と、環境保全や継承を支える活動に貢献していきます。
Main Activities of IIAE
The Institute carries out the following activities.
- Organizing regular seminars, special seminars, workshops, training sessions, and other educational programs
- Providing specialized training, practical exercises, lectures, and consulting services tailored to specific needs
- Exchanging, sharing, and disseminating information with national and local governments, public research institutions, universities, academic societies, NGOs, private companies, and other organizations
- Conducting research and studies on the identification of emission sources, measurement and observation, monitoring, and modeling of air pollutants and greenhouse gases
- Promoting activities to evaluate, accumulate, and utilize research findings and technologies in these fields
- Conducting commissioned research, surveys, analyses, and evaluations
- Developing and selling products and services related to the above activities
IIAE Initiatives
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
At the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly held at the UN Headquarters in September 2015, the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” was adopted. The Agenda includes 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved worldwide between 2016 and 2030, which are known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs represent a set of universal goals for addressing various challenges related to sustainable development, based on the principle of creating an inclusive world where “no one is left behind.”
To achieve the SDGs by 2030, not only developing countries but also developed countries, governments, private companies, NGOs, local authorities, and individuals are required to transform their actions and actively work together through multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Based on our founding philosophy of preserving the Earth as a beautiful and livable “Blue Planet,” IIAE contributes to activities that support the sustainable development of a safe, secure, and comfortable society, as well as the conservation and future inheritance of the global environment.
